Mad Scientist Day

Every year the 8th grade Science department hosts Mad Scientist Day, which is a fun-filled day of Halloween-themed science activities. This year, due to COVID, teachers continued the tradition but on a smaller scale. Students created “Bloody Handprints,” using goldenrod paper and acidic and basic solutions. Also, various pumpkin demonstrations showed chemical reactions that caused pumpkins to ooze foam, catch on fire, and even explode! #WeAreRHMS
