Currently in 6th grade, we are learning about natural resources and energy. Today’s activity was to show the students what happens to the renewable/nonrenewable energy sources that remain after many years of energy use. Students had 90 “nonrenewable” beans and 10 “renewable” beans. They blindly chose 10 beans and were only able to put back the “renewable” beans. After 20 rounds (years), students were able to see how quickly nonrenewable resources can be used up if we are not careful. #WeAreRHMS
